VisualCAMc – production CAM for Onshape

MecSoft Corporation, a developer of computer aided manufacturing (CAM) software solutions, announces the commercial release of VisualCAMc for Onshape, its cloud hosted, fully integrated CAM add-on app for Onshape. After an extended beta testing period, where the product was fine tuned to meet the demanding requirements and expectations of users, it is now ready for production use. The VisualCAMc application can be added to your Onshape account by browsing the Onshape App Store and selecting VisualCAMc in the CAM category of applications.

VisualCAMc leverages the legendary manufacturing capabilities of MecSoft’s desktop based VisualCAM product running remotely across the internet on a server, allowing this product to be used from any computer, anytime and from anywhere in the world.

MecSoft releases CAMJam 2017

MecSoft Corp. announced the release of CAMJam 2017, the Video Training Companion for VisualMILL, RhinoCAM, and VisualCAM for SOLIDWORKS Milling modules. CAMJam 2017 is the complete video archive of training sessions conducted by the support staff at MecSoft Corporation. It includes all of the previous CAMJam version videos as well as updates for the new 2017 products.

MecSoft releases VisualXPORT 2014 for SolidWorks

MecSoft Corporation, the developer of computer aided manufacturing (CAM) software solutions, has announced VisualXPORT 2014 for SolidWorks. VisualXPORT for SolidWorks is a direct plug-in for SolidWorks, letting users export their parts in VisualMILL formatted files (.vcp). The solution provides an enhanced workflow for companies that design in SolidWorks and use VisualMILL in their manufacturing process.

“MecSoft is a SolidWorks Gold certified CAM developer, and so we are very familiar with the unique needs of SolidWorks users,” stated Uday Honnalagere, Support Manager for MecSoft. “VisualXPORT for SolidWorks was created as a direct result of the feedback received from our customers. They needed enhanced export capabilities in SolidWorks beyond supporting STL, IGES and STEP formats while not having to give up using our standalone CAD/CAM software, VisualCAD/CAM.”

VisualXPORT 2014 for SolidWorks can be used to export 2D & 3D Sketches (curves), solids with combined faces, solids with separate faces and individual surfaces. With VisualXPORT 2014 for SolidWorks, solids and surfaces can also be exported as NURBS surfaces. It is certified to run inside SolidWorks versions 2009 through 2014.

VisualCAM 2014 for Geomagic includes two CAM modules, MILL and TURN, each of which run integrated inside the Geomagic CAD program and can be bought and licensed independent of each other. The TURN module is a new module that is being introduced with the 2014 release. The MILL module was significantly enhanced and improved in this 2014 release to provide customers with a powerful and complete manufacturing platform.

MecSoft Releases VisualCAD/CAM 2014

MecSoft Corporation, developer of industry CAD/CAM software solutions, announced the availability of VisualCAD/CAM 2014, MecSoft’s standalone CAD/CAM software suite.

VisualCAD/CAM includes the modules VisualMILL, VisualTURN, VisualNEST, and VisualART, each of which run integrated inside the VisualCAD 2014 base CAD platform and can be bought and licensed independently of each other. MecSoft continues to provide VisualCAD as a completely free design tool. All of these modules, including VisualCAD, were significantly enhanced and improved in this 2014 release to provide customers with a seamlessly integrated complete manufacturing platform.
